across the pond

10 January 2007

after a day on the plane, literaly, i was so unbelievably happy to see this.
somewhere down there are yellow and pink flowers that died over break. they kind of fell out of our window...
the easy part of the kusetur, or the cozy hike. we have optional hikes up mountains each Sunday morning which include all of your heavy mountain gear. on this day, the snow was more than a foot deap, once you got off the path, that is.
silly Norwegians.
climbing up.
a view of a valley. the school is past the town and a couple of miles to the right.
the cozy part. we drank hot chocolate and ate cookies on one of the false summits.
it was getting dark and cloudy, so we headed back. the trip down was great because we sled down on our coats where ever we could find room between the trees.
nice couches to chill out on. view from stairs.
nice couches on the other side fo the door.
looking at the snow falling at night in the fordragsalen.
this is how we watch movies at school. yes, they provide the mattresses and everything (taken in the fordragsalen).
My hiking class went skiing. As you can tell from my ghetto gaitors, I need to buy a few skiing supplies (the "gaitors" are made from tape).
a little break.
a little blizard while skiing, but it only lasted for the first half.
my first time skiing went pretty well. i only had 2 major wipe outs, and i believe i have mastered the fish bone walk.
